Our Story

Hope Restored began as the dream in the heart of a young woman who survived abuse & violence as a child and young adult. Through many years of counseling and healing, she often thought about what resources could have made the journey easier. Ideas began to form about a house that could provide a safe, longer-term program for mothers and children providing rest, healing & tools to live a healthy life. Under the Rose was born.

Would it be beneficial to develop a program and provide resources for those who are in a pattern of harming others? Yes, a thousand times yes! Without Thorns came to life.

And what if there was a place that could provide advocacy, support groups & programs to help equip children with the tools to respond in life with kindness and without violence. A space where those who have experienced abuse find hope and healing. The Hope Center was created.

And so, what began as a way to cope & heal from years of pain, transformed into a dream bigger than imagined. That dream became an organization that envisions a world where peace resides in every heart & home.

Three distinct components with one shared mission...

Bringing peace, ending violence for every man, woman & child.

Under the Rose

The term 'Under the Rose' is derived from the Latin term “sub rosa”, and synonymous with the notion of confidentiality. Safety and privacy will be paramount to the mission of caring for women and children who have experienced family violence.

Without Thorns

The 'Without Thorns' component employs a pioneering approach that focuses on the needs of perpetrators of violence. Healing & restoration are central to replacing aggressive behavioral patterns with healthy alternatives.

The Hope Center is our physical location that addresses the issues of family violence through advocacy and education, care groups and preventative programs. Our services equip individuals with the tools to live in healthy relationship with one another.
